One of the vital aspects of running a business is how you promote yourself, your products and your services. This is achieved by implementing unique and sometimes unconventional strategies that your competition is NOT doing. (See examples below). These business promotion strategies will be the driving force that ultimately assures the success of you and your business.

This driving force is what I call unique promotion strategies. Entrepreneurs should implement 'one' or more unique promotion strategies in their business. To succeed with your promotion strategies you need to create strategies that will set you apart from your competition. Here are two examples:

1. Retail Shops for men are beginning to turn the male 'shopping' experience into a more pleasurable one. Retailers are doing this by installing multiple TV's in their stores featuring sports and sport-related programs. A seating/lounging concept is also implemented. Also in the works are the addition of newer clothing lines (from the likes of Billabong, Hurley and Burton).

Note the promotion strategy in this example being: "Guys hate shopping" so this retailer is making it easier for men to come in and shop in his store. Also, the promotion strategy is unique and unconventional. This retailer is implementing a business promotion strategy that out-foxes and out-smarts his competition because the competition has no idea how successful this strategy really is.

2. A restaurant holds casual "dinner parties" for single-minded professionals. Only eight (8) singles are selected - four men and four women (with similar interests). The get-togethers allow each person to meet others in an informal stress-free atmosphere enjoying great food/drinks/conversation/business contacts/success stories and/or whatever else comes to mind. Both customer and restaurant owner establish a hospitable relationship with each other. The singles enjoy the company of others, as well as, the ambience of the restaurant. The restaurant owner is happy making money by filling seats in the house.

Note the promotion strategy in this example: "Only 8 singles are selected." (2-is-a-date; 3-is-a-crowd; 4-is-OK; 5 & 6 & 7-is-OK, too, but 8-is-a-party!) Here, too, the promotion strategy is also unique and unconventional. The restaurant owner is implementing a unique promotion strategy that out-smarts the competition. Get the idea?

These are powerful, proven business promotion strategies.

Brainstorm with friends, bosses and your employees. Make a list on ways you can make your business different from the competition.

You'll get more customers coming through your doors. The results will truly blow your bottom-line through the roof.
